The principal goal for the establishment of this Charitable Incorporated Organisation is to prospect for potable water and provide the necessary infrastructure to access it initially in the arid and semi-arid Sanaag region of North Eastern Somalia, the occupants of which who have been under the constant threat of drought for decades with the accompanying perils of poor health care, loss of livestock, diminished crop yields and at times no yield at all. The epicentre of our operations will be the town of Awsane in that region, the birthplace of our founder, who is no stranger to the trauma and devastation associated with these challenging conditions. It is our intention to hire an independent operator to look for this scarce resource in the closest village to Awsane with the proviso that volunteers singled out by the tribal leaders/elders there would be co-opted into these operations and given training in situ so as to gain experience for the time when they in turn would be given their own equipment, provided by the Charity from donors (domestic and international) to continue the quest for water. This model would then be replicated throughout the region in order to alleviate the suffering of the people there.
